Accessibility

1. Our approach

We want chapmanunfiltered.com to be as clear, readable and easy to use as reasonably possible.

Chapman Unfiltered is a trading name, brand and trademark of Chapman Media House Limited.

2. How the website is built

This website is built and hosted using Squarespace.

We rely partly on the accessibility features and technical structure provided by the Squarespace platform. We do not control every part of the platform or how it works with every device, browser or assistive technology.

3. What we try to do

For the parts of the website we control, we aim to:

  • use plain English;

  • organise pages with clear headings and sections;

  • use readable text, spacing and layouts;

  • make links and buttons clear;

  • add useful alternative text to important images where practical;

  • avoid relying only on colour to communicate important information;

  • provide captions or transcripts for video and audio content where reasonably practical;

  • make content work across commonly used devices and browsers;

  • consider accessibility when adding new content or features.

4. Videos, audio and other content

Videos may be hosted through YouTube or another third-party platform.

Captions, transcripts and accessibility options may depend partly on the platform used and the content available. We will provide or improve captions and transcripts where reasonably practical, but we cannot promise that every piece of video or audio content will always have both.

Downloadable documents, courses, tools and other resources may also have different accessibility limitations depending on their format.

If you cannot access something, please contact us and we will make reasonable efforts to help or provide the information in another suitable format.

5. Third-party services

The website may include links to, or content embedded from, other websites and services.

We do not control the accessibility of third-party websites, platforms or content. Their own accessibility arrangements and limitations apply when you use them.

6. Known limitations

We have not claimed that the website meets every part of a particular accessibility standard, and the website has not necessarily undergone a full independent accessibility audit.

Some limitations may arise from:

  • the Squarespace platform;

  • third-party content or embedded services;

  • older content;

  • automated captions or transcripts;

  • documents or media supplied in a fixed format;

  • differences between browsers, devices and assistive technologies.

We will review and improve issues where reasonably practical.

7. Reporting an accessibility problem

If you find part of the website difficult to access or use, please email:

hello@chapmanunfiltered.com

Please tell us:

  • which page or content caused the problem;

  • what went wrong;

  • what device, browser or assistive technology you were using, where relevant;

  • what information or alternative format you need.

We will consider the problem and make reasonable efforts to help.

8. Changes to this statement

We may update this statement when the website, its content, the Squarespace platform or relevant accessibility requirements change.

The date at the top shows when this statement was last updated.
